Green Wind Farm Power

SAVING THE EARTH

Our GreenWay Program

Because there may be members at Dixie Power who are interested in “green power” we’re happy to let you know our program continues and is easy to get. Here’s how it works: If a you choose to “go green” you can support renewable energy technologies (wind, solar, or biomass), based on percentages of your total power usage. Some people consider it their way of thinking about the environment, but to us, it’s simply providing options to our members.

With our “GreenWay” Program, signing up is easy, just follow the link below:

Would you like to know more?

We understand that many of our members will have questions about green power. Questions ranging from what is green power, to why are we offering it, and how does the program work?

Green power is power that is produced by using renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, biomass and geothermal to name a few. In nearly all cases, the green power purchased by Dixie Power members will come from a biomass project that produces energy from biological waste materials located in the Western United States.

Remember, if you choose to receive green power for a portion of your electric supply, somewhere on the Western power grid an exact amount of power equivalent to your green power usage is being produced by a renewable power producer, and the premium you pay is supporting that production.

If you have any additional questions you can call our office at 435-673-3297.
